Wee Village Family Childcare is a licensed daycare with capacity of 6 kids ages 3 months - 5 years. We provide a trusting and caring environment for children to enjoy living, playing and learning. We care for children with love and respect. We create environments, experiences and projects based on children's interests that inspire creativity and curiosity.
We make sure our students have access to various stimulating activities throughout the day. We encourage supervised, self-directed play both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) with a variety of books, toys, art supplies, puzzles, and games. We help even the youngest students participate in art, music, reading, science, water play, and gardening to their ability and interest levels. We encourage our students to be messy, creative, and free with their activities and we work best with parents who have the same philosophy!
Through our shared play and meal times, we give children the opportunity to develop social skills like sharing, respect for different ages and abilities, communication, observation, and conflict resolution.

I'm sure you've asked yourself this question before, but what does it really mean "a home away from home"? For us, it means, extending our family and inviting others to join ours. It means children growing with a sense of belonging, a sense of being part of a group, being loved and cared for. Wee Village is a family sized! Which means, we only care for up to 6 children at a time. There are two adults around at all times*. This means a chill-out setting where there are less kids but the bond is stronger - and safer.

Friends feel like brothers and sisters. Caregivers and teachers are not just that, but also feel like an aunt, someone from "my family". Where kids can learn and explore and play on their own terms. Connect with nature and their physical strengths. Where children can be children without errands or "duties" or academic structures. Where children can learn when they are curious and keep that knowledge for life. Learning about things they are interested and not topics imposed to them. It means, at least for us, that these kids will grow up to be happier adults that remember their childhood with fondness. Because that is our goal for all kids.
